Chandler-Grant @ NEOS - 2019

The Chandler-Grant Glaucoma Society once again planning several events during the April 2019 meeting of the New England Ophthalmological Society.  The NEOS conference is on Friday, April 12 followed by the CGGS session of lectures and a wetlab the following day, Saturday, April 13, at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.  On Friday evening, all CGGS members are invited to dinner (restaurant to be named soon!).

We are pleased to announce that Paul P. Lee, MD JD, will be the "Guest of Honor" speaker giving the Chandler-Grant lecture at the NEOS meeting.  Dr. Lee is the F. Bruce Fralick Professor and Chair of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.  He also is the Director of the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center.  Dr. Lee has published more than 250 papers on glaucoma and eye care delivery in general, particularly on understanding and improving eye and health care. He also has been principal investigator on numerous research projects in a variety of areas.  Dr. Lee received his law degree from Columbia University in 1986. Saturday morning, CGGS is hosting its biennial glaucoma symposium.  As in 2017, we will have a 2-hour session of lectures and case discussions, followed by another two hours in MEEI's wetlab.  Presentations during the general session will be 7-minutes in length, with another 7 minutes for questions and discussion.

  • Friday, April 12 - New England Ophthalmological Society (NEOS)
    • Registration fees are waived for CGGS members
    • NEOS meeting details and to register for the FRIDAY session (coming soon)
      Please note - Separate registration is required to attend the NEOS session... you will need to register for both NEOS and the CGGS events separately.
  • Friday evening, 12 - CGGS members dinner
    • 6:00 p.m. - Post 390 restaurant; 406 Stuart St.
    • $50 per person registration fee - pay by credit card using the online form or bring a check to the event... but be sure to pre-register so we have an accurate head count!
  • Saturday, April 13 - Chandler-Grant Glaucoma Society Symposium
    • Location - Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary; Meltzer Auditorium, 3rd floor
    • Time - 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • What - Lectures, case discussions and wetlab
      • 7:30 a.m. - Registration & continental breakfast
      • 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Lectures/cases
      • 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Wetlab
